I love it,, we took a long trip right after we received it,, put in a lot of stops and detours,, it never missed a beat. highly recomended.
My husband loves this one. He hates listening to the radio because of the commercials, so he downloaded songs and plays them thru the radio with no interruptions. He also hooks up his cell and uses it that way and talks and listens thru the speakers
However, the new tech is out, and you can really find a better unit for not much more (or even less) than the 660. This is an good GPS. It far exceeds the quality of Garmins older units. It's a good product, but I'd recommend you shop around for newer models. This model has a few lackings that have recently been approved upon in newer models:- Bluetooth Mic is TERRIBLE - Radio output hardly works - Speaker output far too quiet- Non-QWERTY (ABCDE) keypad (Incredibly annoying)
As to my review, if all things are equal as to the GPS's price, warrenties, etc. From ease of use to the user friendly large 4.3-Inch wide screen, the Garmin Nuvi is superior to Magellan in every feature.
A few months ago, my Magellan was stolen and I started researching consumer reports and reading review after review on every GPS I could find. The over whelming conclusion of all my reading and research was that Garmin made some of the best, if not "the best", GPS's in the mid to upper price ranges.
I've been a Magellan Maestro 4040 GPS owner every since they have been on the market. The differences between the Magellan Maestro 4040 and Garmin Nuvi 660 GPS's were noticeable right off the bat.
Based upon that conclusion, I decided to purchase a Garmin Nuvi 660. After 2 months use, I couldn't be happier.
Personal reviews are, in my opinion, not very reliable in that one doesn't know the motivation and reasons behind each positive and/or negative review. I will always put my hard earned money behind Amazon's free shipping and customer service every day of the week and twice on Sundays.
This is not a new product even though it is described a such on the listing. It is a "used product" and this seller is not truthful enough to state the real condition of it.
